News:

04.06.2022The month of May has brought us joy and sorrows. To begin with the joy first: on Wednesday 4 May, our (N)Mayas Pride Saga and father Remi Von Reich (N), gave birth to 4 beautiful little ones <3 There were 3 girls and 1 boy. The colors are 2 blue girls, 1 blue boy and 1 Ruddy colored girl. Mamma Saga is a sweet and good mum with her little ones. They will be ready for their new families by the end of week 32-34. Photos of the little ones you'll find under this link.

We also had to let our good, kind loving SC (N) Mayas Pride Iris walk the raibow bridge on May 11th. It is a grief that will last a long time. She was an unmistakably loving, sweet and kind Aby <3 Tears flow easily every time thoughts go to her. Sleep well little mamas girl <3

We were also informed on May 5th that Holly from our litter H had passed away, after a while with illness. Sigbjørn and Elise have lost their beautiful little princess Holly <3
15.04.2022On February 25, our little (N) Maya's Pride Saga went on a boyfriend visit to Moss. There she met withe the lovely and sweet Remi Von Reich (N) (Ruddy Aby). After a bit of waiting, we had an ultrasound and there are some small "beans" there <3 If everything goes normally, small paws are expected here from approx. April 30 and until May 4 <3
21.02.2022The last 2 years have been strange. This is due to Corona pandemic. Not much has happened. Neither on the show side nor the breeding side. Breeding plans were put a bit on "ice" due to. lack of suitable partner for our little (N) Mayas Pride Saga and lack of exhibitions for her and (N) Mayas Pride Raven. But now plans are ready for little Saga (see under the link plans), and hopefully there will be some shows during the year for our cats.
06.12.2021This weekend we were at Adelkatten's Christmas cat show. We had with us (N) Mayas Pride Saga. This would be Saga's second exhibition weekend since the outbreak of the Corona Pandemic. Despite the lack of exhibition experience, it went well. She got her 2 CAC. It could have gone better but she needs a little more show experience.
15.11.2020We do not have kittens available at the moment. But we have plans for our (N) Mayas Pride Saga (blue Aby), during 2021, follow under the link or on Facebook.

Our little (N) Mayas Pride Timmy (our litter T), now has got his new mother and will move to Vestfold at the end of December. New pictures of Timmy can be found under the menu Kittens and Litter :-)
25.10.2020Due to Covid-19, the spring and summer (and otherwise) did not turn out as we had hoped and planed. Exhibitions are canceld and unsubscribed, and other plans had to be postponed. But some new things has happened since last time. Let's take it in the right order. The latest news first.
18.10.2020Litter T was born by caesarean section. It was a little ruddy girl and a blue boy. They were named Tessa and Timmy. Little Tessa was incredibly small and weak and was only allowed to be with us for 15 days (after several complications) we had to let her go. But the days we got to have her, she gave us a lot and she got to experience a lot of love throughout her life. Brother Timmy seems to be developing into a big nice boy. The parents of this litter are: SC (N)Mayas Pride Iris (sorrel Aby) and father is CH (DK) Francis Drake of Khartoum (ruddy colored Aby). The hope is that little Timmy will be allowed to carry on with his mother Iris' good qualities. Pictures of our litter T can be found under the menu Kittens and Litter :-)
08.08.2020Our (N)Maya's Pride Ravn became father to 3 small sorrel babies (1 girl and 2 boys). The proud mother is Thamos Terakotta (sorrel Aby). This is the 1st litter of Irene Myhre (breeders name: (N) of Skirixsal). If we are lucky, here will the girl in the litter will go on to breeding.

The plan is that (N)Mayas Pride Ravn will have 3-4 more ladies visiting during the summer and autumn. Those plans depend on Covid-19 and our expected litter here at home during the autumn.
30.03.2020We do not have kittens for sale at the moment. But we have plans for our SC (N) Mayas Pride Iris (Sorrel Aby) and a lovely Ruddy boy. This will happen when the Korona virus allows us to receive a male visit to Iris. Information will be posted both on Facebook and on the homepage when we know something more.

All the kittens in our litter S has left for their new families. Just positive feedback from all the families :-)

This winter and spring has also been a bit sad. February 27 we had to say "good night" to our dear kind and sweet SC (N) Mayas Pride Nefertiti (Neffi) after a time of illness. March 28, we were also told by an owner of one of our earliest kittens; (N) Maya's Pride Callista, she passed away on March 13 also after a period of illness. A small memory word is written about them on the "Gallery" page.

Weekend February 14-15: Little (N) Mayas Pride Saga and I travelled to Bergen (Berak), at her 1st exhibition (4 months old). It was something new for both her and me. I had never travelled by plane and with cat alone to any exhibition. And for little Saga everything was new (flight, hotel and exhibition). Bergen was like Bergen usually is, rain and wind. Nice exhibition where I met some old and many new exhibitors. The results, it was a super weekend. Little Saga got her 1st BIS. Saga's own profile on our homepage will be made soon.
08.01.2020Kittens/litter available: The little ones are now 12 weeks, and are some really quick rascals and fun :-) Growing and thriving, eating regular food and mastering litter box. Status available in the litter: Seshat/Sassy (ruddy girl), Solan (ruddy boy) and Sammy (blue boy). The ones who are spoken for are: Setos (blue boy) and Sannah (blue girl). Saga (blue girl, stays here). The kittens are ready for new homes by the end of week 6. You can follow them either here or on Facebook (the Facebook profile is under my name May Britt Anderssen (Abyssinian cat with blue background)). New photos (10 and 12 weeks photos) of the little family can be found under the menu Kittens and Litter :-)
05.12.2019Kittens/litter available: Now the little ones are 7 weeks, and are some real rascals, fast and fun :-) Gaining weight by eating solid food and a bit from mama Oona, and are litter box masters. Now they've got their names and they are: Seshat / Sassy (Ruddy girl (pink ribbon) who stays here with us), Solan (Ruddy colored boy (beige ribbon) available), Sannah (blue girl (red ribbon), possibly put on hold), Setos (blue boy (black ribbon) possibly put on hold), Sammy (blue boy (blue ribbon) available) and Saga (blue girl (white ribbon) possibly put on hold). So, Solan and Sammy are still available for sale to/exhibition/breeding or as pet cats. The kittens are ready for new homes by the end of week 6. You can follow the litter either here, or on Facebook (the Facebook profile is under my name May Britt Anderssen). New photos (4 and 6 weeks photos) of the little family can be found under the menu Kittens and Litter :-)

The weekend of November 30 and December 1: Went to the last cat exhibition of the year, which for our part was the Adelkatten's Christmas show. There we met many good friends and their wonderful cats. Proud to see that the Abyssinian cat as a breed, starts to do well again at exhibitions. We did bring with us SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo, (N)Mayas Pride Ravn/Bibi and our domestic cat girl Muffin. To see updated show results, look under the link "Our cats" and go to the cat in question to see individual show results. Very pleased with the results.
29.10.2019Weekend October 19-20: We were at the Østfold cat's autumn show. It is a great and beautiful exhibition that we just have to go to every year. And what was nice this time was, that all the Abyssinian cats and their owners had been placed in the same row. We had with us: SP SC (N) Mayas Pride Ivo, (N) Mayas Pride Raven (aka Bibi) and our domestic cat Miss Muffin. Awesome reviews on all 3 both days. On Saturday, Ravn competed in the "kindergarten class" and became EX1, and NOM with competition and he also became BIS with competition :-) Great fun :-) To see updated show results, see the link "Our cats" and go to the cat in question to see individual exhibition results.

Litter S born and available: On Monday, October 14, our GIC (N ) Mayas Pride Oona (Ruddy Aby) and IC S * Cat Claw's Master-Piece (aka Oliver, Ruddy Aby) became parents to 6 fine little ones. There were 2 Ruddy and 4 Blue. We are still somewhat uncertain about gender. Will come back to that. Mom Oona is a good mom and all 6 kittens are gaining and having a good time. If it turns out to that 1 of the Ruddy is a girl, she stays in our breed. Kittens will be ready to leave for new homes from week 4-6. Photos and more information about the litter can be found under this link. You can follow us here on our web site, or on Facebook (my Facebook profile is my name: May Britt Anderssen).
17.09.2019Litter Expected: It appears that the meeting between our GIC (N) Mayas Pride Oona (Ruddy Aby) and IC S * Cat Claw's Master-Piece (aka Oliver, Ruddy Aby) has been successful. If all goes well the litter is expected in mid-October. For more information on these 2 lovely cats, see the link Kittens (Plans).

Weekend 8-9. September: our own cat club Lirak had its 40 year anniversary in the Marikollhallen (not far from us). A nice but tiring show (for mum and dad) who had to work during the exhibition. The cats: Ivo, Ravn and Muffin had to stay a lot on their own, but got enough looking after and attention from the cat owners in the next show cages <3 To see updated show results, see the link "Our cats" and go to the cat in question to see individual exhibition results.

Weekend 24-25. August: we turned our nose to the south of Norway (Kristiansand). We try to attend at The Sørak exhibition every year. Great show with lots of good cat friends and lovely cats. This was Little Raven and Muffin's 1st hotel stay, which they managed with brilliance. Ivo is used to staying in hotels, so for him it was nothing new. To see updated show results, look under the link "Our cats" and go to the cat in question to see individual show results.
26.07.2019We do not have kittens for sale at the moment. But we have plans for our GIC (N) Mayas Pride Oona and a really nice Ruddy boy. The litter, if everything goes according to plan, will be born during the fall. More information about those plans will come in a little while.

Weekend 15-16. June: We were at Smaalenene Katteklubb's exhibition. Nice with short trips (only 15 minutes by car from us) :-) This is an exhibition we would like to go to every year. This year we had with us: SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo, GIC (N)Mayas Pride Oona, little (N)Mayas Pride Ravn and our domestic cat Muffin. This was the 1st exhibition for Little Ravn and it may look like he thought this was OK. To see updated exhibition results, see the link "Our cats" and go to the relevant cat to see individual show results.

19.05.2019Been a while since last updating of our page. But here's some.

We do not have kittens for sale at the moment. But we have plans for our IC (N) Mayas Pride Oona and a really nice Ruddy boy. The litter, if everything goes according to plan, will be born during the fall. More information about those plans will come in a little while.

Weekend 11-12. We were at the Norak cat exhibition. An "OK" exhibition, where we met many good cat friends and their lovely cats. We had good judges and got good results on all 3 cats. We had with us SP SC (N) Mayas Pride Ivo, IC (N) Mayas Pride Oona and domestic cat Muffin (both days), and we are very pleased with both reviews and results. To see updated exhibition results, see the link "Our cats" and go to the relevant cat to see individual show results.

On the Litter front it has happened some. Our boys in litter R, have become big boys and things have happened. Little Rasmus travelled to Troendelag on May 1st and will live with a long haired domestic cat named Sofus and a Turkish Angora called Felix. Reports from Troendelag are just positive, from his new family. When it comes to little Ravn he'll stay with us. Ravn and mama Iris still have a good time together. New pictures (10, 12 and 14 weeks) of the whole little family can be found under the menu Kittens and Litter :-)

April 25 was a very sad day :-( Our dear and lovely EC Ingave's Isis left us, after a period of illness. Our beloved "Issamissa" has meant a lot to us and leaves many nice memories and even better, many nice descendants. Some of them we have chosen to keep here with us. By looking at them, we will always remember our sweet Issamissa. We are forever grateful to Inger and Kåre Nave (breeder), that we did get home to us, this lovely little girl December 14th 2004.
19.03.2019Kittens/Litter: The boys are now 8 weeks, and are some real rascals and funny :-) Getting bigger and thrives. They have got their names, and it's Ravn and Rasmus. Rasmus is put on hold, but Ravn is still available for sale, for exhibition/breeding or as a pet cat. They are ready for new homes at the end of week 18. You can follow us, either here or on Facebook (the Facebook profile is under my name May Britt Anderssen). New photos (6, 7 and 8 weeks photos) of the little family can be found under the menu Kittens and Litter :-)
24.02.2019Kittens/Litter: Our litter R has turned 5 weeks old. And finally (since they were born), we now have found out it IS 2 boys. They're gaining weights and are happy boys, full speed. Mama Iris is a kind and clever mother. New photos of the little family under the link Kittens and then Litters :-) The litter has got names (Ravn and Rasmus), but who's who? We do not know yet :-) We're so thankful for beeing able to use GIC Ingave's Yannis for this litter <3 Both kittens are for sale for show/breed or as a pet. Ready for new homes end of week 18. You can follow us here on our web site or on Facebook (my Facebook profile is my name: May Britt Anderssen).

The weekend: 9-10 February we were at the Adelkattens winter Cat exhibition. We had a nice show weekend and we did bring with us: SP SC (N) Mayas Pride Ivo, IC (N)Mayas Pride Oona and our little/big Domestic cat Muffin. Nice results for all of them. To see updated exhibition results, see the link "Our cats" and go to the relevant cat to see individual show results.

Little Iris got two Sorrel babies (boy and girl we think). You can find the first photos of the little family under the link Kittens and then Litters :-) We're so thankful for beeing able to use GIC Ingave's Yannis for this litter <3 Both kittens are for sale for show/breed or as a pet. We do not have any kittens available at the moment. But our plans for our SC (N)Mayas Pride Iris (Sorrel Aby) and GIC Ingave's Yannis (Sorrel Abyssinian) seems to be a reality. Litter is expected middle of January 2019. So, keep an eye here or at our profile on Facebook (under my name May Britt Anderssen).

The weekend 8-9 December: We did attend this years very last cat show. We left for Gothenburg (Sweden) and Ädelkatten's Christmas show. As usual, a nice and well organized show. We did meet a lot of our Swedish cat friends and some new. We did bring with us: SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo and IC (N)Mayas Pride Oona. Both cats got super judgements and we did get what we came for, Oona's certifications. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.

The weekend 1-2 December: This years last Norwegian cat show. It was Adelkatten's Christmas show. This is a show we just have to go to. Always nice to meet good and nice cat friends and their lovely cats. We did bring with us: SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo, IC (N)Mayas Pride Oona and our little Muffin (our domestic cat). Little Muffin has now started to improve and started to show herself :-) Super judgement on all 3. We did bring with us SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo, IC (N)Mayas Pride Oona (her first show since her litter) and our little domestic cat Muffin. This was Muffin's 2. show weekend, and she did well and got very nice judgement both days :-) As usual, a nice show weekend with a lot og nice show friends and their cats. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.
31.08.2018The weekend 25-26. August: we headed for a super cat show in Kristiansand (club Sørak). We did bring with us SP, SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo and our new little domestic cat Muffin. This was Muffin's very first show. Did did very well and got nice judgements both days :-) As usual it was a nice show, and we did meet many good friends. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.

12.08.2018All of the kittens are spoken for. Litter Q, born 14.06.2018, are ready for new homes from end of week 38. New photos and more information about the litter can be found under this link.
16.07.2018We have Abyssinian kittens for sale. They’re available for new homes from end of week 38 or end of week 40 (if to another country). Photos and more information about the littercan be found under this link.

Under the link "Gallery" we have written about cats with us and from us that we did loose in 2017 and 2018.
30.06.2018Friday June 22nd: We got a new little domestic kitten (almost 13 weeks old). She is called Muffin. Little Muffin had a tough start to life. Her mother; Angelica gave birth to her 4 little ones in the wall on a house in Vestfold somewhere. Fortunately, there was a man who trapped both the mother and the kittens so that they got into the heat of the animal protection Tønsberg-Horten. Muffin's 3 other sisters have also got their new home. Now we hope that Mom Angelica soon will find her permanent "forever home". We were a little excited about how our other cats would greet little Muffin. But it went very well. Emil and Ivo met her with washing, kissing and chatting :-) Maylie and Luna, were a bit more skeptical but no more than hissing. Now we hope she will be a nice and safe cat that will be happy with us. In a while she will be allowed to try out cat show. Then we'll see if this is something she will like.

Litter born: Thursday 14th of June, I received the world's sweetest birthday present of IC (N) Maya's Pride Oona and PL * Adalbertus Set. Oona gave birth to 4 healthy, nice little ones. So far we think there are 3 girls and 1 boy. Mother and kittens are doing well together. The litter will be ready for new homes from the end of week 38 (14 weeks, 21. September) (16 weeks if other country). More information about their parents and photos of the litter can be found under this link.
17.05.2018 Plans: We had plans for our IC (N)Mayas Pride Oona (Ruddy Abyssinian) this spring. It seems like she and her Danish "boyfriend" PL*Adalbertus Set (Ruddy Abyssinian) that visited us in week 15 for a few days, has made it :-) If things go well, a litter will be born mid June :-) The pedigree for these 2 lovely cats you can see under the link "Kittens" and Plans.

The weekend 5-6 may: We went to Norak cat show in Oslo. This time we did only bring SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo. It was a nice but a bit sad show. Not used to only show one cat and not have our dear NW Lazy DSM (domestic cat, RIP). Ivo did enjoy all the attention and cuddling and got nice judgements both days. Sunday he was also awarded with NOM, but lost on equal votes, so they had to bring inn a different judge. But we were OK with that. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.

14. april: "Just a domestic cat", but what a cat! <3
Our dearest NW Lazy DSM (b. 07.12.2001-14-04.2018), left us at the vet late tonight. Lazy has been ill for some time with low metabolism and now the last weeks also pancreatitis inflammation. This afternoon she told us "that she could not take this anymore". Then, it was just to do as she wanted and take the heavy way. This hurts, but now she's in no pain any more <3
Lazy started her show career as "just a companion" for our dear Cleo (Abyssinian cat). But only until a judge spotted her in her cage and told us that we had to start showing her. We did as we were told :-) Lazy's first show was Fossekatta 13.09.2003 and her last was Lirak 18.03.2018. I would say that Lazy did charm both judges, other show people and visitors. Lazy did love to come to shows <3 She did show us that even domestic cats can be shown and enjoy cat shows <3 Lazy was special to us and she will be missed both of us and the rest of her cat family here at home. She'll not be our last domestic cat, but the next one has to be very special to be able to compete with her <3 Here's Lazy's show results: number of cat exhibitions: 142, 1 BOX, 82 NOM and 42 BIS. Sleep well dear "dad's little girl" <3
03.04.2108We do not have any kittens available at the moment.

But we still have plans for our little IC (N) Maya's Pride Oona (Ruddy Abyssinian). This will happen in spring of 2018. The plans we have for her, we will come back to later. If things goes as planned, then litter will be born late June.

The weekend 17-18 March: This years Lirak cat exhibition. Lirak is our own club. It's tiring to work as staff and show 2 cats at the same time, but it went well. We had a nice time for 2 days. Our club did" also arrange the distribution of "Cat of the Year" for all breeds in NRR 2017. We did bring with us: SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo og NW Lazy DSM. Lazy was awarded the title National Winner 2017, Best Domestic cat of the Year 2017 and No. 3 Best Veteran Domestic cat 2017. She did get a lot of nice prices and diplomas. The results for our cats this weekend was very good. To see ourcat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.

The weekend 3-4 February: The first exhibition of the year was at Adelkatten's Winter exhibition. As always a nice exhibition with many good friends and lovely cats. We brought with us: SP SC (N) Maya's Pride Ivo, CH (N) Maya's Pride Oona and Lazy DSM (Domestic cat). This was little Oona's last show for a while. We have some plans for her when it comes to litter. She became IC on Sunday. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.
12.12.2017 We do not have any kittens available at the moment.

The plans we had for our (N)Mayas Pride Nefer (Fawn Abyssinian) is delayed. Nefer now belongs to the "foster mother" Liss Overgaard (breeders name: Ojas Abyssineroppdrett). They will do the breeding plans for her in the future.

But we still have plans for our own little CH (N)Mayas Pride Oona (Ruddy Abyssinian). The plans will be winter/early spring 2018. What sort of plans, we'll come back to round New Year.

The weekend 9-10 December we went to Gothenburg (Sweden) on this year's very last cat exhibition. This cat show is also a tradition we have to be a part of. Highly recommended cat exhibition. Well organised, everything goes smooth and a very nice show. We always meet a lot of our Swedish cat friends. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.

The weekend of 2-3 December we went to this year's last Norwegian cat exhibition. It was the Adelkatt Christmas exhibition. Again we did bring SP SC (N) Mayas Pride Ivo, (N) Maya's Pride Oona, and or domestic cat Lazy DSM. This exhibition is a must for us, it has become a tradition we just have to be a part of. This year, our Lazy DSM was in second place among the short-haired cats in this year's "Tour de Cat 2017" and our little Oona can now "boast of" the title CH (Champion), Ivo did well. So proud of our cats. To view updated show results, see the "Our cats" link and enter the individual cat to see show results.

The weekend of 14-15 October we went to the Østfold cat exhibition. We brought with us: SP SC (N) Maya's Pride Ivo, (N) Maya's Pride Oona and our domestic cat Lazy DSM. A nice exhibition with many beautiful cats and many good friends. So proud of our cats who are great ambassadors for their breeds. To view updated show results, see the "Our cats" link and enter the individual cat to see show results.
15.09.2017 We do not have any kittens available at the moment.

We have plans for our (N)Mayas Pride Nefer (Fawn Abyssinian cat). The plans will be announced later, see link plans.

We have plans for out (N)Mayas Pride Oona (Ruddy Abyssinian cat). The plans will be announced later, see link plans.

All 4 boys in our litter P has now left for their new homes. Feedback from all families are great.

The weekend 26-27 August: We did attend Sørak's cat show in Kristiansand (south of Norway. A really nice cat show with a lot of nice cats and many of our cat friends we did bring with us: SP SC (N)Mayas Pride Ivo and (N)Mayas Pride Oona. Good results for them both. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the menu "Our Cats" and look at the individual cat.
06.08.2017Litter P has turned 12 weeks old. Pixel (Blue boy), Pepper (Ruddy boy) and little Pepzie (Sorrel boy) are now spoken for. Little Pax (Sorrel boy) are still available. They are big, nice and kind boys (but somethimes a hand full) :-) All 4 are ready for their new homes from 19-24 of August. Mama Iris are still a loving and caring mother to all of her boys. 12 weeks photos following this link.
24.07.2017Litter P has turned 10 weeks old. And today they did go to the veterinary for their 1. vaccine and ID (Micro chip). They were such good boys, and behaved soo good. The veterinary was pleased with them all. She told us that we should be proud of this litter. Pixel (Blue male), Pepper (Ruddy male) and little Pepzie (Sorrel male) are now spoken for. So it's only little Pax (Sorrel boy) that's still available. The kittens are ready for their new homes from 19-24 August. Mama Iris is a wonderful mama with her boys. 8-10 weeks photos following this link.

Wednesday 19.July will always be remembered as a sad day in our home :-( Our big sweet Ramses left us, to cross the rainbow bridge. He'd been not him self for a little time (we think), after the attack in the cat run 2-3 weeks ago. He lost his appetite and seemed sad. So, Wednesday we did bring him to his "good friend" the veterinary. We thought it was just a tooth problems (again). We had decided to let them take some blood samples at the same time since he's a senior cat. We thought we could bring our Ramses back home with us, with some pain medicine and antibiotic. But sadly we did not bring him home :-( The examination and blood results of Ramses showed he had kidney failure. The veterinary recommended to let him go. He knew Ramses and that Ramses would not handle the treatment and would be soo afraid. So, our big lovely boy went to sleep with us and his friend the vet by his side. This was a great shock for us, we did not know that Ramses was so ill :-( This is really sad times, but we know that we did take the right decision for our lovely boy. Ramses will forever be the one who started our little breed of Abyssinian cats. Because he was our very first litter (single kitten) and he did mean a lot to us. It's been many happy episodes (and some not so happy) with him. Sleep well mamas "little Tottot" <3 You'll always have a big paw in mamas heart <3

It has happened a lot of good things since last updating :-) Our SC (N)Mayas Pride Emil fathered a litter of 2 in Sweden. The lucky lady is S*Zimbria Xara. The litter was born 11.07.2016 and it’s 1 Ruddy and 1 Sorrel. The owner of the litter is Pernilla Nydahl (Sweden).

We had high expectations for the 2. attemt between our IC (N)Mayas Pride Maylie (Ruddy) and CH S*Skimmerdal’s Elvis. After a visit to the vet. on the 27. day of pregnancy, the vet. could tell us that we could expect 5-6 kittens. Maylie’s pregnancy went without any problems. And the night to 4. August she gave birth to 7 perfect and healthy kittens; 5 Sorrel and 2 Ruddy. The gender we are not yet certain of. So we’ll come back to that.

We do not have any fertile male available for mating any more. Our SC (N)Mayas Pride Emil is now neutered.

And our darling Ivo got his very last cert. and became Supreme Premier. The judge, breeder (me) and owner (me) and friends did share a good bottle of Champagne. Ivo did not even want to taste :-) On our way home from the cat show, we did stop at Mia's home to say hello to our (N)Mayas Pride Milos (ruddy boy and Maylie's litter brother). He lives in Göteborg. It was sooo nice to see him again after a whole year. He lives just like a prince and is loved by Mia and her family. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the link Our Cats, then the individual cat.

The weekend 28-29 November: We went to Adelkatten's X-mas cat show. This cat show was a bit special. For the first and last time in Norway, it was a Abyssinian and Somali Special. From 2016 we'll join the categori 4. It was a lot Abyssinian cats (36) and Somali cats (26). A nice and fun way of a cat show. We did just bring with us GIP (N)Mayas Pride Ivo and our domestic cat Lazy DSM. But it was several other (N)Mayas Pride cats there, that all did well. Our IC (N)Mayas Pride Kenza (now a neuter), got her 1. cert. as a neuter, was awarded Best Green eyed Abyssinian in the special. Was also awarded with NOM and BIS (neuter class). The weekend 24-25. October: For the 1. time we did go to a World Winner cat Show. This year, the show was in Malmö (Sweden). We did just bring along our little CH (N)Mayas Pride Maylie. The whole show was very big; the show hall and the amount of cats. In total it was 1955 cast that was entered the show. 59 of them was Abyssinian cats (incl. our little darling). We did go with the hope of 1 certificate for Maylie. She did well, but ended up as EX2. Unfortunately she had competition of this certificate :-) But with the quality of her competitors, I'm very satisfied with the result. This was, I think a «once in a lifetime» experience for us. Next year the WW will be held in Austria (Wien). And I do not think we'll go there. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the link Our Cats, then the individual cat.

Very pleased with the results for our cats :-) On Sunday Minnie Troberg came with our little (N)Mayas Pride Noah. He's grown to be a very handsome Sorrel Abyssinian kitten. He did very well. Was awarded with: EX1 and NOM. Noah was the only kitten that got 1 vote (exept for the kitten that became BIS). I'm the proud breeder of this lovely boy and we hope to see him on many other cat shows in the future. And we also hope in time, to see some off springs after him. To see our cat's results, and to see updated show results; see the link Our Cats, then the individual cat.

The weekend 26-27. September: We went to Burak cat show (in Drammen). Now the show hall starts bo be a bit to small for their cat show. The hall was to small for both the cats and owners. But it turned out to be a nice cat show for us never the less :-) We did bring with us: Ivo, Maylie (only Saturday), Nefer, Noah and domestic cat Lazy DSM. Ivo and Maylie did get their certificates. The kittens; Nefer and Noah got their EX1. Emelie Hedblom (our former foster mother) came with one of our other «grandchildren» NO*Nalea's Alina. The litter we have waited for :-) 23. July the litter we have waited so long for between IC (N)Mayas Pride Kenza (Ruddy Abyssinian) and SC S*Aucuparias Astrakan Gyllenkrok, was born. That Wednesday and straight after the calendar, and in the middle of a very warm July, our Kenza gave birth to 4 perfect small ones. All did not go “by the book”, it turned out a bit more dramatic then we had hoped for fore our little Kenza. We ended up at the veterinary clinic. The first 2 kittens was born normally, then it was full stop. Even though Kenza tried her best for many hours, the little ones would not come out. So the veterinary told us that they had to do a C section on her for to help her. All 4 kittens were small, but perfect and healthy. It was 2 Ruddy girls, 1 Ruddy boy and 1 blue boy. Kenza turned out to be a very stubborn mother that had to show us how she wanted tings. After some hot and stressful hours, we finally figured out what she wanted. And after figuring it out, everything was OK. Kenza turned out to be a loving and caring mother for her babies :-)

17.04.2013Night to today (N) Mayas Pride Jazz and Villkattens Precious Kira became the proud parents to 2 boys, 1 Sorrel and 1 Ruddy. Both mother and babies are well. The owner of the litter is Petter Eliassen, who has a small breed of Somali cats. He lives near Stavanger and his breeders name is Ubique-cattery. For more information about the boys, send me a mail, and I’ll put you in contact with the breeder.

Available males:
(N) Mayas Pride Jazz, our youngest male (Ruddy), is available for suitable females (only a few litters). Jazz is a promising young man. He’s a large and handsome boy, with a lovely temperament. Jazz has done very well at shows. If you would like to know more about him and our terms for lending him, feel free to contact us by mail.

GIC (N) Mayas Pride Ivo (Sorrel), is available for suitable females. He will only be available for few litters, and no longer than 2013. Ivo is a elegant, big and handsome boy with a temperament to die for (we can hardly describe him, he has to be experienced). If you would like to know more about him and our terms for lending him, feel free to contact us by mail.

SC (N) Mayas Pride Emil (Sorrel), has a break for lady visits. Due to a Suprelorin chip (he got it in November 2011). When he’s “fit for fight” again, Emil will only be available for 1-2 litters. Emil is our big, big “gentle giant”, he’s a real mother’s boy. If you would like to know more about him and our terms for lending him, feel free to contact us by mail.

Hannah’s little daughter (N) Mayas Pride Kenza, will stay as a foster cat with Emelie.

The 20-21 of December, we got feedback from Iceland. Our (N) Mayas Pride Kasim (that we sold to Iceland), is out of the quarantine station. He’s now at home with his new family (Helena). They're now International Champions. To see updated show results; see link Our Cats, and the individual cat. Sunday the 12. August we got a real shock wile we were in Helsingborg. We got a telephone from our little Jazz's foster home. They could tell us that he'd fallen from 3. floor and down on the pavement and disappeared. We were so afraid and did drive home at once. Little Jazz was found after 2-3 hours and seemed to be OK. But 2 days later it turned out that he was more injured than we thought. We rushed him to the veterinary. They could not find any signs of fracture on his jaw, but his under jaw was badly bruised and beaten up. He was put on Metacam for 7 days and we was told to keep an eye on his swollen jaw and behaviour. A good thing we got him home again and that he did not disappear for us. His foster mom and dad are so lucky to have him home again.

The firs weekend in December we went to Göteborg in Sweeden on a cat show with our Emil. He got his certificates both days, but not anything more. But we got what we came for, and thank god for that.

The 11-12 of December, it was this years last cat show. It was Adelkatten's Christmas cat show. We brought with us; Lazy DSM (domestic cat), result both days: no. 2.
Emil got his certificate and NOM on Saturday. And his last certificate and title Supreme Champion on Sunday.
The kittens; Hermine Hannah and Hedda was in a big competition in the litter class, the result EX3 (both days, had 2 other suuuuper nice litters to compete against. 1 Bengal litter and 1 British Short hair litter). Hermine and Hannah was also in the show in the individual kitten class. The result on Saturday was: Hannah EX1 and Hermine EX2. Hannah was in the show individual kitten class on Sunday. The result; EX1, NOM and BIS (both her foster mother and I was gob smacked). We are so pleased with the result for all of our cats this year.

To see updated show results on Emil and Lazy, see link Our Cats, and the individual cat.

(N) Mayas Pride Hannah is living in a foster home/host home. But in time she'll get her own page on our home page.

All 4 girls in the H- litter have now left us for new homes. Holly was the 1. to leave (6. of November). She's now living with Sigbjørn and Elise in Oslo. There she soon became the princess of the house. She's happy and having all their love, according to all of the feedback we get from them.
Hermine was the 2. to leave (12. of December). She's living with Hanne on Gressvik (east of Oslo). She's got 3 other cats in her family. Keiko (female domestic cat), Laban (Aby mix male) and an elderly male Burmese mix (do not remember his name). Hermine is suppose to be Hannes breeding female and a show cat. She also is having the best of time and best family for her.
Hannah left for her foster home/host home the same day as Hermine. She's living with Emelie and Magnus on Blystadlia (just north of Oslo). She's living together with a Aby female mix by the name Nala. These 2 cats was a match made in heaven from day one. Emelie has made a nice video of these 2, and you can see it under the link http://www.mayaspride.no/galleri.php and under 2 god friends (listen to the music and look at these to cats).

November and December has been difficult months to get trough. Sad things has happened. We got a message from Stockholm who said that our dear and sweet (N) Mayas Pride Finnegan (only male in the F- litter 2009) was dead 10 or 12 of November. Pictures of him and what had happened you can read under the link http://www.mayaspride.no/engelsk/galleri.php and under Cats that are no longer with us.

So, the 6. of December we got another sad message. Our Felicia (female, also from the F- litter 2009) had gone missing from her home the 27. of November. We have done everything for to find her or find out what has happened to her, but without no result. Pictures of her and how we have tried to find her, you can read under the link http://www.mayaspride.no/engelsk/galleri.php and under Cats that are no longer with us.

SC (N) Mayas Pride Emil (Sorrel male), is still available for visits of Abyssinian/Somali ladies. He'll be fertile as long as he dos not spray.
17.11.2010 All kittens in litter H are now reserved or sold. Holly was the 1. one to leave her mother. She left Saturday 6. November. She now lives with Sigmund and Elise in Oslo. Hermine and Hannah left Sunday 14. November. Hermine now lives with Hanne on Gressvik (Østfold), Hannah now lives with Emelie and Magnus on Rælingen. Hedda is reserved and will leave a bit later. The report from all 3 new families are good. Holly, Hermine and Hannah hopefully are having new "slaves" :-)

The 13. and 14. November we went to Norak cat show. The cats we brought with us; Emil, Hermine, Hannah, Hedda and Lazy. This was Emil's 1. chow since he became sick. It turned out very well, he got his 2 cert. Hermine EX1 on Saturday, Hannah EX1 on Sunday. Hermine, Hannah and Hedda was also in the "kitten class" both days and was ranked as no. 3 both days. It was 3 wonderfull litters both days. 1 British Shorthair litter, 1 Bengal litter and our Abyssinian litter. The results were the same both days; no. 1 British Shorthair, no. 2 Bengal and no. 3 the Abyssinian litter. No shame to loose for these 2 great litters. According to the judges, all 3 litter was great. Our small girls was well behaved during both days.
Lazy became no. 2 on Saturday and BIS on Sunday.

13.09.2010This weekend we went to Moss on Scandinavian Winner Show. We was supposed to bring our male Abyssinian Emil, but due to a operation (he's been sick) he's badly shaved. But now he's all right and happy and healthy. He'll be on show again may be already on Norak's cat show in November (hopefully)?

It was great fun that our Lazy DSM (our Domestic cat) became NOM at Scandinavian Winner Show. Totally she became no. 2 and we're soooo proud of her. The judge, Marit Tøgersen told us all that Lazy was the nicest of the Domestick house cats (females) that day, and with the best and loveliest temperament. She even gave the assistant Jorid a big head bump (we call it a Lazy Teddy bump). And the judge was not suppose to write her comments in peace, Lazy would like to write something her self or wanted to lay down on her papers. It was so nice to see that Lazy enjoyed her self and the attention she got. To see updated show results on Lazy, see link Our Cats, and the individual cat.

Our Neffi and her 4 girls (H-litter), are still having a nice time together. The girls are now 7 weeks old. They're eating well and playing like a wild bunch. Now we can see the personality on each of them. Next week they're going to come out and play with all the other cats in the house. And finally we have decided on their names: Holly, Hermine, Hannah and Hedda. 6 weeks pictures of the litter is published under litter H. Check out kittens->litters
23.08.2010HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMIL!

Our Neffi and her 4 girls (litter H), are having a nice time together. The girls are now 4 weeks old, and are gaining weight and looks good. They have no names yet. So, their name is for now; 1-2-3 and 4. But give us a bit more time and they'll have their names. 2 and 4 weeks pictures of the litter is published under litter H. Check out kittens->litters

Our GIC (N) Mayas Pride Emil should have been on many cat chows this autumn and early winter. But Friday the 13. August, Emil got very sick and had to undergo a surgery in his stomach. They found that he had full stop in his system. And on top of that he got a post operative cold. He's on medicine for yet some days. But now it finally seems like he's getting better. Because of the operation, he's been shaved on his belly and throat. So no cat shows on him before the coat has grown back.
01.08.2010It's been a wile since we did some updating on our homepage. It has happened a lot since then. We have been to cat show (very good results), moved to a new house and Neffi has got her 2. litter.

The 25. July got her 2. litter (our H-litter). Pregnancy and birth was normal without any complications. She gave birt to 4 girls (Ruddy) within 6 hours. Pictures of the litter is published under litter H. Check out kittens->litters

(N) Mayas Pride Gabriel had his 1. and may be last cat show this weekend. His new owner will not go to cat show with him due to her job (as a midwife). We had good judges both days and they had just good things to say about him. Results for both days; EX1, NOM and BIS on Saturday, EX1 and NOM on Sunday. Me, as a breeder was sooo proud of him. We do not know the gender yet. If you want more information about litter 1 and 2, you can take contact owners/breeder of both litters. You'll find information and pictures of all of Emils offspring under kittens->plans

If you would like to use our handsome and kind Emil for a litter, please just take contact with us. Further plans for our IC (N) Mayas Pride Emil you'll find under the link: Kittens- > Plans.

Emil became father for the 1. time the 12. of February. CH (N) Sweet Puma Charming Blue Chiqita gave birth to 3 big Aby babies. 1 blue girl, 1 ruddy boy and 1 blue boy. Her owner and breeder could report that Chiqita managed it all by her self and she's a good and nice mother to her 1. litter. So now we are waiting to see some photos of Emil first children.

EC Ingaves Isis gave birth to a nice ruddy boy the 4. of February. Mother and soon are doing fine. The little one is growing bigger for each day. You'll find photos of him under G- litter. Check out kittens->litters

Emil has had his second date. The 2. of January (N) Villkatten's Dancing Queen (or Lissy, as she's called). She was a lovely little ruddy Somali cat lady. She stayed for 1 week. She and Emil soon found each other. So if Emil did his job well, her litter is expected in week 10. Owner and bredder is (N) Villkatten's Somali breeding.

We are exited for to hear if CH (N) Sweet Puma Charming Blue Chiqita is expecting a litter or not, and if Emil has done his job well. Fingers crossed for a easy birth and nice Aby babies that Stine can enjoy. Litter is expected in the end of week 6.
09.12.2009Now, Emil has his first date her. It's CH (N) Sweet Puma Charming Blue Chiqita. She is a lovely and kind little blue Abyssinian lady. They have had quite a lot of mating sessions here since monday the 7. of December. They are sooo sweet and kind to each other and good friends. We hope for a pregnancy. And that a litter will be born in south of Norway week 6. So, fingers crossed for a nice result between these to love birds. Check out Kittens- > Plans.

They stayed in our home during the show weekend. And Felicia was soo pleased to be back. Her mother Neffi and uncle Emil was pleased to see her as well. It was so fun to see that they did remember her.

Fanny did leave for her new family in Oslo 16. October. It was a bit sad to se Ole Christian & Co. leave with her. But due to e-mail that I have received, she's doing all right. And she has turned out to be a real nice and cuddly little miss according to Ole Christian. A real lap cat that purrs a lot. I think she'll be the queen in that house by no time.

Emil is now International Champion. We vent to Billingebygdens cat chow in Sweden.

Eros results both days: EX 3 Saturday (but in his judgement paper it says: He should have been EX 1 but due to a furless patch on his head he couldn't be given EX 1 and the best in his class of all the ruddy kittens). Sunday he was judged as EX 2 and the stupid furless patch stopped him again. A bit sad since the judges both days thought he was the best of ALL the kittens.

Unfortunately one of the Ruddy boys did die at the age of 10 days. But the Sorrel boy, named Emil and his brother named Eros, the Ruddy boy is growing and turns out to be happy kittens. Once again, we thank Elin Ahlström in Örebro, Sweden for letting us have this beautifull, handsome, kind and gentle daddy Enzo here for several weeks. Today, 15. July we got a really sad telephone. (N) Mayas Pride Chakira is dead, age nearly 2 years. It was a accident, she fell from 5-6 floor from the house she lived in. She had to be put a sleep due to major injuries. She was a nice and loving cat and will be missed by us and her owners.
We have now had IC S*Abydesign Enzo here for a month. EC Ingave's Isis and this nice gentleman have produced a great litter before, and we hope and believe that Isis is pregnant. As usual it has just been great having daddy Enzo here. He's just a darling and a loving cat that his owner Elin Ahlstroem from Sweden just must be proud of. We'll know if mum Isis is pregnant the 16. of July.
12.05.2008Updated show results for our domestic cat Lazy and CH Nefertiti.
28.04.2008Today we have received the autopsy report on our little Osiris. It turned out that his lungs was not developed enough and did not function as they was suppose to, he was not a premature kitten and had normal birth weight. He also had a beginning pneumonia. Was also told that we could not have done anything, he would not have lived for more than a few days more. But it hurts to know that he was sick those days he was alive without us knowing.
19.04.2008We managed to keep our little Osiris for 6 days. He died from us yesterday. We do not know what vent wrong. He had 6 days together with a good and caring mother that washed him, tried to feed him and talked a lot to him. We'll be back with an answer to what happened when we have got the autopsy report. He was a little/big personality which during these days, managed to set a huge paw print in our hearts.
13.04.2008Yesterday morning EC Ingave's Isis became mother to a very nice Sorrel Boy. He's got a name already, and that is Osiris.
